Who Are We?

The story of the Seyhans goes back to the early 1920s. The grandfather Şaban Seyhan, who was originally from Rize, decides to settle in Samsun from Rize and goes into business. He collects products such as barley, wheat and corn grown in the surrounding provinces and starts selling them in his 25 m2 shop in Samsun Saathane Square. Şaban Seyhan's sensitivity in his work allows the business to grow over time.

The eldest son Hamdi Seyhan is sent to the Commerce High School, which was the best school of that period, considering the future of the business. In the 1960s, things continued with the grocery store. When it comes to the 1970s, the steps of the Seyhanlar brand are started to be taken and the road towards the target of a supplier company from retail is started. In those years, the service network started to go out of Samsun and spread to the Black Sea Region.

After more than ten years of trading, the great grandson Mustafa Seyhan decides to establish his own brand and establishes a factory with the Seyhanlar brand where he can process, sift and package the products he buys from the producers in the surrounding villages. In a short time, the Seyhanlar brand begins to move towards the targeted point, with the periodical exports throughout the Black Sea Region.

Selinay branded products, which were produced in an area of 400 m2 in its first years, started to be produced with state-of-the-art machinery in 2014, thanks to the integrated facility established on an open area of 10,000 m2 and a closed area of 6000 m2 in Samsun Organized Industrial Zone. The company, which aims to expand its product range with the new factory, produces bagels, sesame, tahini, Turkish delight and hazelnut cream with cocoa, as well as halva and jam production.

Selinay strengthened its position in the market by expanding its product range, thanks to the importance given to product development and innovation by Hamdican Seyhan, who came to the management after taking on many different duties within the company. Selinay, which obtains tahini oil from domestic sesame products and produces the raw materials used in halva making, aims to reach its targets in the market with the principle of service and total quality integrity.
